November 1, 2004 - Esso Nederland takes steps towards restructuring its gas interests - Esso Nederland announced today that it has signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with the State of The Netherlands and Shell Nederland B.V. to restructure its interest in the Dutch gas transportation business. The HOA contains the principal terms and conditions under which Esso Nederland B.V. and Shell Nederland B.V. will agree to transfer their ownership share of 25 percent each in Gasunie's gas transportation business to the State of The Netherlands.
October 28, 2004 - Exxon Mobil Corporation Announces Estimated Third Quarter 2004 Results - Exxon Mobil Corporation today reported third quarter results. Net income of $5,680 million ($0.88 per share), after a special charge of $550 million for the Allapattah lawsuit provision, increased $2,030 million from the third quarter of 2003. August 30, 2004 - Esso Receives First Monitoring Protocol Award From Dutch Environment Minister - Exxon Mobil Corporation today announced that the Rotterdam refinery of its affiliate, Esso Nederland B.V, received an award from the Dutch Ministry for the Environment. The award, a first of its kind in The Netherlands, validates the company's CO2 and NOx emission monitoring protocol which specifies how emissions from industrial installations can be measured reliably and objectively to ensure that companies comply with the levels granted to them.
