December 4, 2003 - ExxonMobil grants ESEP Award to young researchers - The 6th Award of the ExxonMobil Chemical European Science and Engineering Program (ESEP) has been granted today to Christine Kirschhock of the Catholic University of Leuven, in Leuven (Belgium) for her work in zeolite nanoslabs and Eric Gaigneaux of the Catholic University of Louvain, in Louvain-la-neuve (Belgium), for his work around metal oxides. Both types of material can be used as catalysts in petrochemical processes, improving the selectivity/efficiency of the process.
October 2, 2003 - Esso opens unstaffed station in Arnhem - Today, Esso opened its second unstaffed petrol station in Arnhem-Presikhaaf (The Netherlands). This station is part of a series of special Esso sales outlets to be built this autumn. Esso Express - a name that is familiar but at the same time new. For the time being, there will be a trial run with ten stations. If, as Esso expects, this formula appeals to the consumers, the Dutch Esso Express network will be further expanded.
March 17, 2003 - ExxonMobil resumes Mobil Jet Oil Sales to All Airlines - ExxonMobil today announced that it has resumed marketing Mobil Jet Oils to airlines served by Exxon Corporation prior to its merger with Mobil Corporation in 1999, but not previously served by Mobil.
February 3, 2003 - ExxonMobil opens first unstaffed station in The Netherlands - ExxonMobil will open its first unstaffed petrol station in The Netherlands. After positive experiences in other European countries, it was decided to start also here with Esso Express, the name of this type of station. For the time being, the number of new Esso Express outlets is limited to 10 test sites. If the test meets expectations, more stations can be built.
November 20, 2002 - ExxonMobil Plans $100 Million Investment in Stanford University's Global Climate and Energy Project - Exxon Mobil Corporation announced its plans to invest $100 million in a groundbreaking Stanford University project dedicated to researching new options for commercially viable, technological systems for energy supply and use which have the capability to substantially reduce greenhouse emissions.
