We believe that every future manager must be in touch with the reasons for ExxonMobil's existence. Most of the engineers we take on start by working in one of our production sites in Antwerp (B), Rotterdam (NL), Meerhout (B), Kerkrade (NL) and Virton (B).

You will start as a Process Technical Assistant. In this position you will have two responsibilities:

• You will become the 'technical owner' of part of the plant. It will be your responsibility, in cooperation with the operators, to deal with technical problems as quickly as possible

• Your other responsibility will have a more long-term focus, such as finding ways to optimize the process management.

You will be a Technical Assistant for one to three years, depending on the complexity of your task and how you deal with it. In your next position you may move to a different part of the plant where you will do approximately the same work but with different processes and equipment. But it could also be an entirely different position. Long term you can also progress to non-technical positions.
